What Does a Health Coach Do?

As a Certified Health Coach, I work with you to modify lifestyle behaviors to improve your health. We set realistic goals and make small, manageable changes to your current lifestyle that will set you up for success and long-term weight and health management. With various health and activity programs designed for your specific needs and goals, you will receive the education, support, and motivation you need to improve your health, step by step.

Personal Training

As a Certified Personal Trainer, I will work with you to develop a program designed to fit your individual needs. Regardless of your current activity level you will receive an appropriate plan of action for adding activity into your daily schedule. Whether your goal is to lose 50 pounds, the last five pounds, or just not have aches and pains in your activities of daily living, a customized activity program will help you reach your health and fitness goals.

Meal Planning and Preparation

You can’t out-exercise a bad diet. Working together, we develop healthy grocery lists and meals that fit your goals and lifestyle. No kitchen skills, no problem! Meal planning and preparation in your home will set you up for successful and healthy eating.

Small Group Coaching and Training

The more the merrier! A sense of community and support is essential in reaching your health and fitness goals. Grab a few friends or get the entire family involved! Health Coaching and Personal Training is offered to individuals, small groups, as community programs, and workplace wellness programs.

Progress Monitoring

After setting appropriate and realistic goals, we will monitor progress through one-on-one and small group meetings. You will also receive email and phone support to help keep you on track and motivated. I’ve got your back. Sometimes we just need someone to say, “I know how you’re feeling, and you can do it!”

Food Education

Healthy eating, weight loss, and weight management is not about depriving yourself and eating less. It’s about eating differently and having a manageable and realistic plan. After discussing and studying your current eating habits, we will employ various strategies to change the way you think about eating and how it relates to your health and weight loss goals.

Strategy Development

Identifying obstacles and triggers is key to success. We will collaborate to identify your roadblocks and develop realistic strategies for overcoming them. Step by step, we will build your strategy toolbox for healthier lifestyle habits.
